Curb appeal doesn't need to be expensive, but it does need to be planned. What are you planning for your yard this spring? Are you dreaming about having the "wow" look with an abundance of beauty and color? I hope so!
If you need some ideas, consider planting bulbs. Bulbs are a great way to add some inexpensive color and interest in your yard. I like to plant my bulbs in November. It's a great time to do this particular type of plantings. However, I actually might start planting my bulbs in October, but that is because I usually plant between ten to fifteen thousand each fall!
Bulbs used in the correct way can really be a "wow factor" in the yard. When I think about how bulbs need to be used, one word pops into my mind ...mass. Mass plantings to me always trump planting in "soldier rows" or attempting to sprinkle a few here and there. One more note to remember, please don't plant bulbs in between your shrubs. Doing this really doesn't work as a layering effect, can cause confusion, and also works against creating the wow factor.
