Sugar Maple

- The Sugar Maple is a deciduous tree
- This tree grows to 25–35 m (82–115 ft) tall
- Shade tolerant
- Does not grow well in dry, shallow, soil
- Produces a seed bearing "fruit" called a samara
- This tree produces sap that can be used for making maple syrup
- The leaves of this tree turn a vivid yellow or red in the fall
